Best Podcasts To Listen To While Working, Drawing Or Painting

The idea behind this article is one that has been rattling around in my planned posts pool for quite some time. Every single time I grab the pencils, inks or paints, I simultaneously select a podcast to listen to while I work and get settled into the process.

Podcast statistics show that in 2020 there were over 850,000 active podcasts and over 30 million individual episodes, that statistic tells us that there is a lot of choice. In fact, in preparation for this post I ended up going down a vast network of rabbit holes and diving into some powerful podcast statistics.

Now you might be looking for a great podcast to listen to while you’re at work or being creative and have different tastes to mine, I have prepared this piece to appeal to a few different subjects; after all chances are that if you have ended up on my website, we have some shared interests. I’ve diligently filtered the over 850,000 active podcasts down to four of my favourite go to listens.

‘Probably Britain’s Greatest Star Wars Podcast’ – The tagline that should really be changed to ‘Most Probably Earth’s Greatest Star Wars Podcast’ is hosted by two huge Star Wars fans from Essex in the United Kingdom; Luke Bligh and Matt Hudson.

Each week, Star Wars Sessions delivers a fresh new episode about that galaxy far, far away packed with news, discussion, laughs and a truly positive vibe throughout.

If you’re looking to delve into some incredible Star Wars content, then this is the podcast you are looking for, not only do they deliver consistently quality content, there are a lot of chances for listeners to interact and join the discussion too.

3 Point Perspective

3 Point Perspective is an art career advice based podcast, hosted by illustrators Will Terry, Lee White and Jake Parker. New episodes are released fortnightly and cover a wide range of subjects that are highly relevant to those looking to start a career in illustration.

The chemistry between these hosts really does work well and whilst a trio of podcasters is fairly unusual in my knowledge of listening to podcasts, it works very well and they connect brilliantly.
