A Story Born From Inktober

I’d happily consider Inktober 2023 a success!

Not only did I achieve the 31 drawings over the 31 days (on time), but it also helped lay the foundation for a new world, a new set of characters, and a new story…

I’m not going to ramble on too much in this post, I just wanted to share a selection of my Inktober illustrations that have planted this seed.

Meet the early form of a race that we’ll call Shellbacks.

So there we have it, the start of something new…

I went into this year’s Inktober with the intention of exploring digital art and storytelling. I didn’t want to try and make a sequential month of artworks, instead, I explored several worlds and characters, mostly animal-like characters oddly enough, but it was a lot of fun.
